Envato Sales Monitor

Yes, I have my own website, but I am still exclusive on Envto, I will lave it this year probably at the end of the year.

I am also following layoffs, it is really weird what is happening, multiple firms are making layoffs and each have different reason for why they are doing this. Really interesting.

In regard to big tech companies, I believe this is the game: they need money to pay for GPUs, and they’re making these AI-based layoffs because of that. Small companies in Romania especially are suffering, because there are only a few with their own products – most are doing outsourcing…

The guy in the video is saying it better than me

Even now with Black Friday sales being so bad, WordPress demand is the same, why are the sales so low beats me, I don’t get it.

About AI I used vibe coding for a commercial product if you don’t knwo your skills is useless so that is not the direct issue…

I did a bit of research on the Elements strategy, and it’s actually a smart move for Envato to keep the platform alive for a few more years. It provides a kind of short-term stability, at least until most authors eventually leave the platform.

Basically, it’s a strategy to squeeze every last dime out of it. The new CEO likely saw no long-term future and didn’t want to deal with authors anymore, so he took the easy way out. They made a few good millions from the deal with Shutterstock, and he’s set for life — the rest doesn’t really matter to them.

CEOs of big companies like this are the worst.

I do expect Codecanyon and Themeforest to close by the end of this year if not in 2027 100%, is almost dead, not much to do about it at this time. Clients have lost faith a long time ago, authors are doing their own things now, the most important ones anyway…

I know that this platform could have thrived for a very long time with the right management. I still blame everything on the Envato CEO Hichame Assi… sad thing is that he will leave Envato a rich man, probably to f*uk up some other company after!

Such a sad story. Envato—so many devs lost their heart because of one greedy and stupid man. What he did was pure stupidity, intentional stupidity.

I understand the frustration, I also feel it. That’s exactly why WPBay exists: to provide a platform that’s built around authors, not just squeezing them for money. I hope the word will get out to more devs and WPBay will work also on the long run.

It will get there, it needs time, we are also going through a very tough period worldwide, especially in IT…

You are good, you have already almost double as I have this month. But I am non-exclusive now, so I thought this is normal… But if you are in the same bucket, it is not normal at all…

Yes is a complete and utter disaster

Keeping this alive maybe other will join.

Envato seams dead at this point, my last sale was nine days ago… it feels like the entire industry is dead…

Nobody is needing WordPress all of the sudden what is happening, any ideas?

I got 8 sales in the entire month of February. 14th February was a magical day, when I got 3 sales at once.

Is there no need for WordPress all of the sudden?

This is too aggresive!

What I said above is only covering sales on Envato.
Here on WPBay I have also sold around 40 licenses last month.

Thank you for sharing!

No sales for a week then few sales and so on. It was similar in past with those days without sales but now they are more numerous. Sales are down for about 30% compared to last year for me.

On Envato, monthly I’m earning what I usually I earned on a week. Here I sold only a license in months.

I was practically forced returning doing the freelancer to compensate the sales loss.

I know thigs are bad but I also know they will get better!
