Hi everyone! I’ve been working on a New Year scene that turns my FWD. logo into an animated fireworks display.
Instead of keeping the logo static, its particles become the source of the show: sparks gather into compact clusters, launch upward along swirling paths, and burst into different red, green, and blue patterns.
The bigger moment is a full-logo explosion. Particles converge with staggered timing into a tiny, bright core, building anticipation before the burst. Afterwards, they gradually reappear across the model rather than rebuilding it all at once.
The scene includes:
- Selective bloom on the logo particles, launch trails, and explosions.
- Smoke and localized sky illumination synchronized with the bursts.
- Mouse-driven particle wakes and crackling embers.
- Separate launch and explosion sounds with variations.
- Randomized timing, trajectories, and particle return delays.
The main challenge has been balancing intensity and readability: making the fireworks feel energetic while keeping the logo recognizable and the animation responsive.
I’d love feedback on the launch motion, explosion patterns, and the transition back into the logo.
