Just want ot share this.
Before token based billing I used copilot and the Ai agents via git it was ok never payed more than 100$ per month, but after the token billing it was so expensive that it was impossible to use, tha I switch to codex the 100$ PRO plan, I’ve been using it for amonth now non stop and never consumened the quaota, I am more than ok paying 100$ for this!
Probaboly there are other cheaper solution but for me OpneAI with GPT 5.6 this is exactly what I need now!
I am using Codex 20$ plan and also Cursor 20$ plan. My usage is limited, I hit tier limits in some rare cases, but all I need to do is switch from one to another or to wait a couple of minutes and it is usable again.
I tried that, but I hit a hard weekly reset and had to wait 7 days for it to reset. That’s why I ended up going with the $100 plan.
Did you try OpenCode?
May I ask for what you use AI? Plugins for market sale or for client projects?
Codex is great. Not just cheap but often produces better quality / listens more carefully / is more thorough than Claude

At this point I don’t write code anymroe only the basic structure and architecture after that I prompt my way arround this, it is saving me sooo much time and also the code is very good if you look into it and don’t let Ai go into LALA land.
Currenty I build a product designer where you can add text, images etc on a tshrit for example… I make the 2d version and after the 3d version.
The reality that coding is solved by AI but the irony is that you still need to be a good coder to work with AI… makes no sense at first glance but when you need to engeneer your app AI can’t do it it will never be able too because my ideas are mine and only me can architect them 
For me AI is haven I wrote code for almost 30 years I don’t really miss it to be honest now I focus more on the app itslef that to fry my brain with every line of code, but again I do watch it and make sure is how I need it.

Prompting an app like this is litreally impossible there are too many details and littel thing sthat you don’t know if you don’t really build it step by step and this will not change no matter what kind of AI we will have!
I ask because I wonder do you still create any new plugins for sale and is it still worth doing.

Yes this is a new plugin. Things will recover, right now is a dizaster but I know things will get better, a normal user can’t build an app lets be serious it will not even be worth to try since you can find a proffesional made app at a fraction of the price.
I am doing this since 2000, I just know it things will get better, those who do not belong in this industry will be forced to leave, only those who really are passionate about their work will remain and thrive again.
The idea that AI can do everything that you think on without any real knowledge is pure stupoidity it can’t even do a simple HTML page without my guidance the way I want it!
I am building two new plugins and than i will start a youtube channel to teach how to build an app for those who want to learn it will be free and I expect to get some visints from there and also advertise my website and wpbay…
I have about 50k Envato active clients but I don’t have access to their emails since Envato do not allows that, imagine to send an email with a new produc tot all those 50k only 1k if they buy I will make 20k in one day and most of my clients love my work so this woudl have been an achiavable goal… they shuld have the decency to give us our client emails but the CEO is an idiot literally… he has no idea what hes doing and treated Envato as a pure bussines and that got us where we are today that is the main problem…

Yes and no, after 30 years of coding is part of my DNA… yes we can lose some of our skill but as soon as you put you rmind into it it will come back to you fast. Do you really want to wirte all your code manually is a waste of time if you ask me now that we have a tool that can do that for us adn mold it as you want!
Either way this is the future now, AI MUST be part of your wrokflow or you will be left behind! Don’t be afraid to use it, and remember to stil lfolow the code is very important not to let AI go crazy, you will lose the project!
