Hi people! I know some of you from the old Envato forum and some others I don’t so nice to meet you. 
Audiojungle/Elements author here, part of Envato since 2016. Just found this hub browsing the impacts and opinions about the recent Elite and Exclusivity benefit shares and tiers elimination…
So just that, I simply wanted to say hi and congratulations for keeping author’s communities alive, disregard the content type. We, music creators, also keep a micro comunity but we’re not more than 30 there (it’s hosted in ProBoards, this one looks WAY BETTER, hahaha). Seems they kinda succeeded dismanteling community interaction, peer-to-peer advice and debate.
As you can imagine, from a music author perspective the last couple of years decissions and technologic events have been devastating for our livelihoods and from July on that will be even worse.
I hope the grass is a little bit greener on the template/code side of the fence. Around here is just terrible.
I hardly doubt the markets will make it till the end of the year. Not even as upload page. They might be developing an upload feature inside Elements and the markets will probably shut for good soon. IDK, I might be wrong and they keep it open to milk it till the very last drop.
Anyway, saw the lights on and I just wanted to pop in and say hi.

I actually saw your work a long time ago, love it!
They will not shut down the marketplace — it’s far too valuable as a traffic source for Envato Elements. But honestly, the Envato CEO made a complete mess of things. He’s the villain in this story, like a parasite that came in, fed on everything good, and left it all rotten.
Elements was doomed from day one. It’s only a matter of time until all the authors completely abandon ship.

Sadly, what you describe feels very familiar. I have activity in a different category, but have the same story. Plugin and theme authors got hit hard too…
The old community spirit was one of the best parts of Envato and watching that disappear all at once was heartbreaking, especially as I met some really cool people on the old Envato forums. WPBay exists partly because of this…
You are always welcome here, even if you make music instead of WordPress stuff, no probs.

Hope you’re right about the markets remaining open, though for us composers there’s almost no movement there since May. As if they pulled some kind of kill switch. It was the first time in my life (since 2016 with a single track uploaded) where I didn’t passed the payout threshold. This month was pretty much the same, though I was lucky enough to sell a big license. Elements on the other hand is not thaaaat bad, but it’s in clear decline too.
Anyway, I’m not here to moan (or at least not ONLY to moan, hahaha!) so basically, nice to see people for the good ole days. And also, it’s not that I’m not working, I’m making custom music for games, films and animations and went back to teaching. Can’t complain, though I do miss the golden years A LOT.
Anyway, thanks for letting a stranger share a few words, I’ll be peeping around from time to time if it’s ok.

Maybe in the future Audiojungle will have a new home here with the WPbay team and a new marketplace, I think it would work with the old Envato spirit?

It would be awesome. There’s a legion of authors that a month from here will have entire portfolios parked in AJ basically gathering dust. But one step at a time. If WPBay ever hosts music, you can count on my catalog.

Go for it rebuild Envato here! WPbay has all the features that we need, at this point we need to grow… it would not be so difficult to create a marketplace for Audio and than more.
I can help with the audio player for free, I can build it for the new marketplace!

Well, top priority is now to get WPBay going, after we have a bit of traction, sure, a sister marketplace for audio files will also be built.
