A few useful WPBay improvements went live over the last couple of days. Most of these are focused on one thing: showing the important details before you buy, not after.
Free trials are now shown before you add a product to cart
If a product includes a free trial, you’ll now see that directly on the product page next to the price.
Trials are also shown on product cards across WPBay, including the homepage, category pages, search results and seller stores.
Previously, the free trial information only became visible after the product was already added to the cart, which was obviously too late in the buying process.
Subscription pricing is now much clearer
Subscription products now show what you will actually be charged today, together with what happens after the trial or initial period ends.
For example, a product with a one-month free trial can now show:
Free for 1 month — nothing to pay today. Then $10 each month from October 8, 2026. Cancel anytime.
Previously, some pricing boxes could make it look like the full subscription amount was payable immediately, even when the product included a free trial.
For EU and UK customers, it is also shown relevant withdrawal information directly on the product page, including when the statutory cancellation period applies and how much time remains.
Sale prices now show the original price everywhere
Discounted products now display the original price crossed out next to the current sale price across WPBay.
This also applies to seller store pages and other product listings.
Previously, this was mainly visible for featured products on the homepage.
Add to Cart now prevents accidental double-clicks
The Add to Cart button disables itself while the request is being processed.
This prevents a second click from accidentally adding the same product twice while the first request is still loading.
A small change, but one that removes an annoying edge case.
Review tabs now show the number of reviews
Product review tabs now display both the rating and the number of reviews behind it.
So instead of simply seeing:
5
you may now see:
5 (1)
This makes it easier to understand whether a rating is based on one review or many.
Refund requests are easier to submit
There is now a dedicated refund request page under:
My Account → Request a refund
You no longer need to locate the original order page before requesting a refund.
Simply select the purchase, explain the reason for the request and submit it. The request is then sent through the WPBay refund workflow and to the seller where applicable.
For qualifying EU/UK cancellation requests where the files have not been downloaded and the licence has not been activated, the refund can also be processed immediately rather than waiting for manual review.
I also fixed an issue where the list of previous refund requests appeared empty for some accounts.
These are mostly small changes individually, but together they should make purchases, subscriptions and refunds considerably clearer.
As always, if you notice something that doesn’t look right, reply here or open a support ticket and I’ll check it.
