Hi everyone,
One feature that has been bugging me for a while now, as product creation is not an easy task for me, as there are many things to add and details to input in upload settings, so you can now save products as drafts and finish them later.
Until now, creating a product meant filling in everything before you could save it and hitting the submit button and hope for an approval. ![]()
From now on, you can start working on a listing now, save your progress and come back later to complete it.
Hereโs how it works:
-
The product submission page now includes a Save Draft button.
-
Drafts only require a product title and at least one price. Everything else can be completed later.
-
Each seller can have up to 5 draft products at the same time.
-
Draft products now appear in My Products, making them easy to find and continue editing.
-
While editing a draft, youโll see both Save Draft and Submit for Review buttons.
-
Once your product is complete, simply click Submit for Review and the normal validation process will ensure everything required has been provided.
A lot of work also went into making sure drafts behave correctly throughout WPBay. Draft products cannot accidentally appear in search results, product listings, feeds, statistics, carts or purchases until they are submitted and approved. Additional security checks were also added around the draft workflow.
This is also very useful for you guys who plan to integrate the WPBay SDK in your products, as the SDK configuration needs a WPBay product ID, which was not able to be generated until now, before product approval. However, now, if you save a product as draft, you will automatically get also a product ID which you can use in WPBay SDK config.
I hope this makes submitting products a nicer experience. As always, if you notice anything that could be improved, Iโd love to hear your feedback. If you find issues, also let me know.
Thanks for helping make WPBay better!
