Hi everyone, Szabi here.
Because some developers who want to sell themes on WPBay asked me about this feature, and they were a bit confused as plugins are not ok to be added in the zip package of uploaded themes, I added a new option for theme products on WPBay: Companion Plugins ZIP.
So some themes need extra plugins for demo content, widgets, blocks, importers or theme-specific functionality. At the same time, I want to keep theme packages clean and professional, so plugins should not be bundled directly inside the main theme ZIP.
With this new feature, theme sellers can upload:

the main theme ZIP

an optional companion plugins ZIP
-
documentation as usual
For buyers, this stays nice and simple. On the order/download page, the companion plugins download appears directly inside the theme listing, above the docs button, so it does not look like a separate product.

Sellers can also replace or remove the companion plugins ZIP later when updating the product.
Please use this only for plugins that are needed for the theme and make sure you have the rights to distribute anything included.
