Hey everyone — after 4 years of building this on the side, I finally shipped SEO S.A.M (Search Analysis & Marketing) to WPBay, and wanted to share it here.
SAM is a guided SEO agent that lives inside your WordPress dashboard. He learns your actual business during setup, audits your site, builds a prioritized action plan, and — when you let him — applies safe fixes himself and proves the results with a rescan. He runs on his own logic, so there’s no AI subscription to pay for and no extra software to install.
A few things I built in specifically because they matter to me as both a developer and a site owner:
- Safety first — SAM only ever acts within an autonomy level you choose. “Guided” mode asks before anything that touches content or meaning. Even in Full Control, he never touches page layout or your theme — that’s out of scope for what SEO should be doing.
- Full undo — every automatic change is logged with a restore point.
- Content Autopilot is opt-in — by default SAM only does technical/structural SEO work (metadata, headings, links, images, indexing). Writing new visible page copy is a separate, explicit opt-in setting.
