I tested more on different browsers and cleared the cache multiple times. Everything is working fine — the loading time is good and doesn’t bother me, usually around 1–2 seconds max.
The only thing remaining is to load the images when they are offscreen after the page is shown, and it will be top-notch!

I have done another round of page speed optimizations, check now how it behaves. Images also lazy loaded natively.

Is GOOD!!! It loads almost instantly, also the images loading is ok!

I tested today when I started my computer and the issue is back really long first loading time 5-7 seconds after that is ok, first visit is the issue after that is ok, this is really wired because if I clear the cache after the first visit it loads instantly so not sure what is going on…

This might be caused because I am working on new features for the site right now and I keep adding code + clearing server side cache.
I suspect that you access the page right after the cache was cleared on the server and it needs to be rebuilt on first page access. This is why first load is slow.
I understand, it is important the first load not to take 7 secons is too much.
