Hey guys, i just found something interestingā¦ Envato Market is not allowing new author signups at the moment. They claim new signups are āpausedā. Signups will reopen in mid April, but only for: video, animated graphics and 3d. Fonts are also planned to reopen in the future.
The rest: probably CLOSED FOREVER for new people.
What do you think of this move, almost invisible for us, authors who already have accounts on Envato?

Wow, looks like itās real. Definitely sounds like the decision has been made and now itās just a buffer periodā¦.

Yep, I was rightāmoney isnāt coming in anymore. Elements is a big fail, and the marketplaces are nearly dead as well. They probably fired most of the code reviewers, who likely cost a lot of money. Those guys were the worst anyway, and the way they had god-like power made them feel untouchableānothing could affect them. But now things are changingā¦
Not sure what will happen, but I think the code markets will be kept only to fuel Elements and they will squize it until is a dead goat as wellā¦
I mean, this month I made $150 in ten days. That kind of says it all. Weirdly, from what I see, the entire tech industry is sinking, even though at its core itās the sameā¦ Hard times ahead.
With that being said, this is actually good news for WPBay. It will enter a phase with much less competition. Itās a good time to focus on marketing and getting traffic that actually converts into sales.
I expect other authors to fully commit to wpbay in the near future but is time for you guys to start really think about marketing without it si very very slowā¦

Pausing applications while we redesign, helps ensure that when authors are selected for intakeā¦ they will not change anything is just a marketing think to not make them look so badā¦ I wuld have expected to blaime it on AI
