Which is your favorite country to spend your summer vacation?

My personal favorite for summer vacations is Croatia, I always find there very friendly people, very good food and great combination of sea and mountains.
Which country is your personal favorite?

I really like Switzerland because everything is very clean, well organised and the nature is stunning. Also nice food in supermarkets. Expensive but that also means you can find anything you want.

Lately I’ve been quite impressed with Spain as well.

Well, enjoy.

Over the past three years, I survived 29 bouts of COVID-related pneumonia. I was so sick at one point that doctors even considered replacing my lungs and removing my colon.

This year, thankfully, I’ve managed to avoid it and I’m slowly getting better. Still, I’ll have to remain in isolation for a very long time.

I had to completely isolate myself because I caught COVID from my daughter, who got it at school.

So as long as you’re healthy and with your loved ones, you’re already on vacation it dose nto really matter where you are as long as you are with the right people arround you.

Wow, i am sorry to hear that you had so many health issues with Covid… I know that isolation can be very hard, i hope you will get over it soon.

Thank you.

We don’t know until it happens to us. I never imagined it would be so hard not being able to breathe. My cardio was on point, it is one of the hardest things I have endured I and I endured it for more than four years. Last time I took a deep breath was in 2021…

At some point, I will share this horror story..

You are right and it’s important to be grateful and enjoy every day, we never know how many we get.

Hope you are able to recover well,

COVID is no joke, my experience was very easy compared to yours, but I remember when I got it that I had to walk up 2 flights of stairs and I simply could not do it, took me an hour, never had anything like that. I can only imagine what you’ve been through…

I think I might be the only person on the planet who has survived 28 cases of pneumonia. Normally, if the first one doesn’t kill you, another one surely will. Somehow, I survived 28. I honestly have no idea how.

After my first battle with COVID, I didn’t sleep or eat for nearly two months. I was hallucinating and losing my mind, quite literally. Eventually, I managed to get myself to a private hospital, where they had to place me in an induced coma for a week. But even under anesthesia, I remained conscious—I could hear everything around me. I never truly slept, not even in the coma.

After the coma, I finally found a doctor who managed to help me sleep… after nearly three months of being unable to.

My lungs were destroyed—about 80% gone—so my breathing wasn’t really breathing at all. My wife had to stay by my side 24/7 just to make sure I didn’t stop breathing because I was in between worlds at this point, o yeah, I have seen hell, believe it or not, in this state and Jesus as well.

I lost almost all my muscles, and my joints were slipping out of their sockets. My spine was grinding bone against bone because there was no more muscular support — and even that was nothing compared to what followed.

Now my lungs are fine, the issue is that my nervous system is confused, so I don’t know how to breathe anymore, but making progress…

There are simply no words to describe what I endured…

One day, I’ll talk about this in detail, but for now, even thinking about it makes me sick.

Wow, that’s really tough.

I wonder why it hit you so hard.

Anyway, don’t think too much about it, better relax and enjoy your evening bro :hugs:

What is a “vacation”?
I’ve only recently allowed myself weekend days off. Taking a whole week or month off seems wild.
@tibi_diablo This is awful to go through. I’m sorry to hear it.

I know exactly what Covid does to a person - we saw friends die from it, we had a close family member in a coma for 3 months so I never doubt the effects. Long Covid is a very really thing and brain fog is too. I’m sorry to hear what you endured my friend.

But getting back to the topic of discussion Portugal is nice, Benidorm - in fact anywhere hot and sunny with drink helps

I have it again this is the 30’th ifection I can barely breath I am on oxigen, this is soo frustrating.

Wow. Just wow. Never heard anybody so affected, i am really sorry…

It wiped out my mother and father in three weeks…

When I was in the hospital, two men about 30 died next to me… this virus is no joke.

In my case, I could not recover because I got it regularly every 2-3 months, and the first infection destroyed my lungs almost completely.

I was unlucky… now I’m at 30% infection and can barely breathe even on oxygen. I’ll beat it again, but I’m so sick of this—four years of suffocation and misery. Before COVID, I could run 20 miles, and now I can barely move.

This virus is like a lottery—it can kill a perfectly healthy young person in just a few weeks, and yet do nothing to someone who’s diabetic and weighs 150 kg, or vice versa. Nobody truly understands it. It has the potential to invade any organ, not just the lungs. For example, you can die from COVID because it destroys your liver.

If you’re in the group for whom it’s “just a cold,” you’re so lucky—you have no idea!

As for how contagious it is, imagine this: if you’re within 20 meters of someone with COVID, your chances of getting infected are about 99%, even outdoors at 10 meters 100% chance… it is so contagious that it has the potential to get through a full protection costume with masks and other crap at about 90% rate. From surfaces, if the virus is present and you’re nearby, the chance is around 80%. Basically, you can’t avoid it unless you live completely isolated.

Throughout human history, there has never been anything as contagious as COVID. It’s the worst virus ever. Viruses have no real treatment—it all depends on your immune system. With bacteria, you have alternatives, but with COVID there’s absolutely no treatment.

Not being able to breathe is the worst thing I’ve ever experienced. I fought Lyme disease that nearly left me paralyzed, but that feels like a joke compared to suffocation. Anyway, I’ll talk at some point about this hell—it’s a story you couldn’t imagine even in your worst nightmare.

Now I have two hell months ahead of me…

Usually, either kills you at first infection or second, or you get over it and go on the next one does not affect you too much… there are not many like me who endured this hell…

I am speechless. Take care, I trust you will get over it.

Thank you.

There are horrors in this world much worse than Envato CEO

This is terrible @tibi_diablo , I’m so sorry.

You should have ended your last post with “Despite all of that, Envato CEO is still worse”

Nothing is worse than being sick—literally nothing :slightly_smiling_face:

About the Envato CEO… f.. him. Every time I think about what he did, I just can’t understand why. It’s a complete puzzle for my brain.
