Hello Guys,

New to wpbay , How long have you guys been around? I just added three plugins which I also have in other platform. You guys are new so not sure I should move all of my plugins here yet. For time being I will sell in multiple platforms, as I have to do all the hard work marketing the plugins, platform I am using charge less but no marketing of my products. I hope you guys will investing in marketing the plugins we sell like social media marketing , seo and so which I believe is necessary to compete giants like envato. However it might get tough at first don’t give up. I am getting good feelings about wpbay.

cheers

Hello and welcome to WPBay!
We’ve actually been working behind the scenes for a while (over 1 year), but the platform just recently opened up to the public, so yeah, it’s still early days.

Totally get where you’re coming from. Selling on multiple platforms makes sense, especially when you’re doing all the marketing yourself. One of the biggest goals here is to actually support developers like you, not just take a cut and disappear. So yes, we’re definitely investing in growing the platform’s visibility with SEO, social media, community building, and more. It’s not going to be overnight (as we want to build things up organically, not artificially), so we’re in this for the long run.

Thanks again for joining. Your feedback is exactly what helps us shape WPBay into a platform that’s actually worth being on.

The good feelings about wpbay are on our side also, as we built it to be our new “home”, where we can sell our work freely.

Cheers,
Szabi

Envato is a sinking ship. It competes with what? All authors are so fed up with what is happening there. WPBAY is here to grow organically, and it will grow. Personally, I will upload all my plugins here later this year, and I am 100% sure that WPBAY will literally replace Envato in time. Everything is on point here. Fair share from the sales, the owners care about what we think as authors, better everything here, and they build plugins as well This is a big one because you can’t run a business if you don’t understand it Look what the former CEO of Envato did…

I tried to fight the Envato Elements nonsense only to get my account disabled for speaking the truth… who does that in 2025 is disgusting!

The only thing that needs improvement is the design of UI/UX, but I know that Szabi is on it…

So yes, it will be a difficult journey,y but we need this all of us authors from Envat need this switch and change!!!

Hello,
Thanks for you insight. I will never sell on a platform that doesn’t treat its seller with respect like Envato. I tried to upload some plugins there few years back based on what I saw i didn’t like it , like they set price for your plugin (Based on what size of plugin file what if I can get done 500 lines of code in 100 lines do i get paid less? for same functionalities), good thing about wpbay is we can set our own price which I like. Only thing that is bothering me so far with wpbay is amount of views I am getting, it not much, I know owners are trying to grow platform organically but thing is most of plugin developer who are selling in envato doesn’t know about wbay exists, it might take long for those people to know about this platform. I know its cost money to market , but if wpbay wants to add few more percent to their cut from sales for marketing I’m fine with it. And I am also gradually transferring other plugins here as page views and sales start to pick up. I am more into wait and watch situation, As I am not having good experience with similar platform https://pluggable.io/ (which I believe is started to get tired envato developer to switch), they are finding reason not to pay me , taking more cut from my sales and not even marketing my plugins which they said will in return for more cut. And I hope wpbay will be different.

We are just starting on top of that, the IT now overall is in the toilet… It will take time and we need more authors and plugins. we will get there!

Thank you for pointing out pluggable.io, I was not aware of them. I check what they offer.
We are thinking of asking professional help for marketing, as it seems our own efforts are not so productive. Also, we go with strong organic growth, but sure, paid ads are also needed, we need to learn how to get the most out of those also.
We believe in WPBay and thank you for also believing in it!

Hi @bktujwol
Thank you for joining and we’re glad to have you here!

WPBay is definitely in early days, it’s growing but it will take time until it’s able to bring in good visibility - for us, it’s a long term project. The platform doesn’t require exclusivity so you can sell in multiple places.

We encourage you to also develop and submit free versions of your plugins to wordpress.org as that can have a great effect on visibility,

Hello @stefan_admin

I already have about 20 plugins there , so haven’t published there in a while. I will definitely think about it in future project. Currently I am just adding plugins I have in other platform , here in wpbay. I have 20 plugins in wordpress.org, about 11 javascript libraries in nmpjs.org and about 11 in paid plugins which I maintain . So I kind of get overwhelmed by maintaining all these projects. I surely will add plugins in wordpress.org and link them back to wpbay if I come across interesting idea.
